Protection
November 16th, 2008Few Christians understand that they have an enemy of their soul. Liberal seminaries teach that there is no Devil, no demons, and there are no fallen angels. However, the Word of God teaches and warns all believers to be aware and on guard against attacks from these works of darkness. The Word of God promises us protection as long as we walk in the light as He is in the light and walk in love toward others.

Not snares, nor pits, or traps, can contain us !
Ps 124:1 “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say — 2 “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, When men rose up against us, 3 Then they would have swallowed us alive,
When their wrath was kindled against us; 4 Then the waters would have overwhelmed us,
The stream would have gone over our soul; 5 Then the swollen waters Would have gone over our soul.”
6 Blessed be the Lord, Who has not given us as prey to their teeth. 7 Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The snare is broken, and we have escaped. 8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. NKJV
No fear !
Ps 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell. 3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. NKJV
Protection against calamities
Ps 91:3 For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. 4 He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. 6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. 7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. NLT

We must do our part !
Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, NKJV
